Paneer & Cabbage Parata

Paneer & Cabbage Parata Recipe200 gms crumbled paneer
200 gms grated cabbage (Tip: It is a bit difficult to cut cabbage into small pieces or to grate. Here is a easier way to get finely chopped cabbage. Just cut it into big pieces and grind it for 10-20 seconds.)
2 small sized onions
2 tblspoon chopped coriander leaves
5 cups flour, oil/ghee for cooking
1 tsp finely chopped green chillies
Add a pinch of turmaric and red chilli powder just to make it colorful.
Salt as per taste


Recipe Procedure:


Sprinkle salt over the cabbage and keep aside. after 10 minutes, squeez out the water. Meantime heat 1 teaspoon oil in a pan, mix onion and chopped green chillies to it and fry it for 1 mins. Add squeezed cabbage,a pinch of turmaric & red chilli powder and again fry ir for 2 mins. Now mix the crumbled paneer to it and salt as per taste. Heat it for another two mins and add coriander to it. I prefer to fry paneer whenever I prepare parathas but you can use it as it is. Now stuffing is ready.
Mix 1 tblspoon salt into flour and make a soft dough. Knead well and keep it for 5 minutes. Divide the dough into small portions. Roll out each portion of the dough into a round of about 100mm diameter with the help of a little whole wheat flour. Fill stuffing into it and cover it from all sides. Cook on a hot tava on both sides using a little oil/ghee untill pink spot comes. Repeat the same with other portions and serve hot.
